Here's my friend of 30 years and her beautiful, sweet, giggly boy. I was so excited to capture these five month portraits after we did his newborn photos back in November. EJ is the best little boy. He didn't care that we went through outfit changes, location changes, and made him roll over many, many times. Watching your friends and their families grow is a blessing.
We were all in Holden for a surprise party for my wonderful father-in-law, so my sister-in-law asked me to do a session for her family. Nola's Burberry dress was stunning against the backdrop. She commanded those two pups (and maybe mom and dad too-- she's just too cute!)
The O Family visited on a nice "spring" day... I say "spring" because I'm not sure when New England is going to let us have some typical weather! We did a few studio shots and some outdoor family ones. The best part of being a Rhode Island family photographer is utilizing small spots of land to create fun family portraits. With the right angle, I can usually work with almost any backdrop. Thank you, O Family! Hope to see you soon for some summer portraits!
Isn't it nice when your best friend is also your sibling? These two are so adorable. They took direction well and were particularly excited about the leaf throwing and rock climbing.
I really love Mt. Hope as a setting and I think this family hit it out of the park with outfit choices! Are you looking to update your family portraits in 2018? Contact me today! I am currently booking outdoor portraits for April and beyond.
Wow! The difference in weather we saw within the hour we took these photos was crazy. Rain, clouds, sunny, dark...it was a little nerve wracking for me because we were using a private home for the shoot and I wanted to make sure we got done what we needed too. In the end, it worked out awesome because of the variety of looks the weather gave us!
Thank you so much to the 74 families I worked with in 2017! It has been another successful year at SPM Photo and I look forward to seeing your families grow in 2018!
The weather this summer made it hard to schedule a lot of jobs. This poor family rescheduled four times but I think we got the pick of the summer for the day we chose- just enough wind for the pictures to show their spirit. Check out super-talented Meg's Etsy page for custom jewelry. I've ordered several things and have been so impressed.
The S family-- you gave me all the feels with this session. It was so unposed, spur of the moment and casual. I loved every minute. Sandy toes, hair blowing in the breeze and dancing in the waves. My kind of Sunday Funday.
My friend Beth called and asked if I could do an extended family portrait as a surprise for her mom while her brother and his family were in town. We met super early the day after 4th of July and while the sun was strong, it certainly didn't stop the smiles. I think it made the "run in the water" pics more appealing :)
Try to not smile when you see these two together. It's impossible. Bray is just about the coolest kid you'll ever meet and "Zo Zo" is the definition of toddler chic! The two of them together are so much fun. I always revel in how laid back mom is-- she goes with the flow and I think that's why the kid's portraits are always fun. She doesn't say more to them then we are going to have a good time taking photos. Easy peasy!
When your BFF has a baby, you do the Fresh 48 and the studio session!!! Twice the cuddles for me and so many fun memories for this family of five. It was awesome to be there as Ted's two big sisters met him.
