Many of you know that I had the great pleasure of being a bridesmaid in my best friend Julie’s wedding, as well as the unofficial getting ready photog. I won’t deny that I was torn in a  sense- I so desperately wanted to be able to be in the wedding AND photograph the whole day (or even just until she had her dress on but clearly we were involved in the lacing of that gorgeous corset!). However, being a bridesmaid comes with its official duties and honestly, by the time the ceremony rolled around, I forgot all about the camera because I was having too much fun. I made Bryan go and get my camera and I took like 3 pictures at the reception. The only thing I wish I had a picture to share was how spectacular the room looked. Kate was the maid of honor and wedding planner (we like to do double duty in this group with Kelly serving as bridesmaid and the un-pregnant fun one ha ha!) and handmade so many delicate details. After cocktail hour, the sun was setting and the crystals hanging in each of the windows provided such a glow, combined with the twinkle of the lights strung on the rafters. All the navy and ivory linens and the funky chalkboard menu- it really was a site! Add to that the favors we hand cut and hot glued (maybe a finger or two as well) and the centerpieces bursting with yellow, white and orange- it was just beautiful. And speaking of beautiful…here are just a few photos including some of the vintage cars that were probably my favorite little detail (or large detail- the 60 Ford is a boat).

Many, many, many happy years to two dear friends, Julie and Sean!

Olivia was an absolute cutie pie- she just turned 1 and her parents wanted to take some pictures before the weather turned. We took advantage of the park and Olivia smiled through it all- we posed her on the stairs, on a bench, on the grass and to the side of a yoga group at the Temple of Music :) You never know what will make a good background!

Abbey had the genuine beauty that makes a portrait so easy to photograph. She took direction with ease, had perfectly coordinated outfits and was open to suggestions about what to do and how to pose. She will soon be beginning her senior year and is excited about all the wonderful things in her future- the prom, college visits and all the sports teams she plays for in the fall and spring. I wish you the best in all you do Abbey!

Brewster is a yellow lab who has had several shoots for the holidays :) This was part of his Valentine’s Day shoot. There’s no doubt his owners, Matt and Julie, love him a LOT!

Patrick and Delaney are two of the most lovely kids you will meet (which I attribute to both their personalities and their awesome parents, Bridget and Sean). They both had plenty of things to show me in their backyard and Patrick kept making sure his little sis was in on all the action. If I told them to stand with each other, Patrick had his arm out to welcome Delaney in for a hug and a kiss. It’s great to see siblings that appreciate and enjoy each other so much. As the sun was sinking in the sky, we got some awesome “hair light” which gave a golden glow to their skin and I think you’ll be able to tell which picture had the most apparent angelic glow. I hope we get to hang out again someday kiddos because I will certainly be seeing your mom soon at our favorite restaurant, Crazy Burger!
