Katharine- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

I just think Katharine is so cute and stylish. She is also a teacher but in New Jersey so I can't help but be a littttttle teeeeeny bit flattered she drove all the way here for pictures (well, and to eat at Brick Alley Pub). Katharine had all her outfits and looks coordinated and here's just a few...

Brewster- Cranston, RI Pet Portraiture

Julie and Matt are good friends of mine. Julie is what I would describe as a puppy person. She loves all things puppy....including the walks, the playing, the fact her dog ate 6 bananas with the peels on...OK, she didn't really love that. However, Julie and Matt met at a dog park and married a little while later so I think it's safe to say that dogs are a strong part of their relationship. Julie wanted to do a portrait of Brewster so we did one and then Matt asked why we didn't wait until St. Patty's Day. I assured Julie there is always room in the schedule for a Brewster photo shoot, part two.

Kelly- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

So, another friend of Ms. Suuuuuuuzi. Another ball of enthusiastic excitement. I really love Kelly's look. She's got beautiful red hair (that seriously, not one was out of place) and gorgeous blue eyes. She started by saying she felt a little awkward but we had her laughing and next thing you know- we had four outfit changes and some great pictures to show for it!

Jen- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

I caught up with some other URI alumni (and some of their friends!) at their fabulous girl's weekend in Newport. These are just a few pictures of the girls and Jen...who just got engaged this weekend! Congratulations Jen! You were lots of fun to work with since I think it's fair to say you and that leather jacket were fearless in the stairwell! Ha!

Family Portrait on Ice- Cranston, RI Family Photography

Angel and Matthew wanted to have a family photo taken (and yes, I did just photograph them three weeks ago!) and they knew of a time and place where everyone would be together- the tasting for their wedding dinner! Prior to going, they stopped by for a portrait and our original idea was to have them sitting on a stone wall. However, thanks to the weather and plowing, the stone wall is under about 6 feet of snow. So, we improvised. A garage door, a hill of ice and a black sheet. I love a family that can roll with the punches and they most certainly did- they were funny and laughed the entire time. As Angel's mom said, "We like the natural pictures." Well, that's good because so do I! At a later point, I will post some "outtakes" from this session because Matthew and his dad were very funny!

Flashback Friday- Victoria + 3! -Cranston, RI Family Photography

Lynn is a co-worker of mine and years ago had Victoria. She loved being a mom and decided to try for another....and then the triplets came! They are so much fun to work with because each child has their own distinct personality that they play off of one another. Here's a picture from the day that I loved.

Flashback Friday- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

Sometimes I try to be proactive and end up failing. I have been creating Flashback posts a few days ahead of time....and now I forgot to post it yesterday. Oh well! Today's feature comes from a trip I took with friends in December. Matt is a HUGE ham. He loves to play it up for the camera, which is right up my alley. Enjoy!

Diiiiiiiiiana- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

Di and I have been friends since 1st grade. She had an awesome puff painted sweatshirt that I admired and a friendship was born. Di and I have the kind of friendship where you can go a few months without talking to and pick up right where you left off. She stopped by this morning for breakfast and the lighting was too much fun to pass up. Di has supported me in all things photography so far, and we've just added modeling to that list.

Miss Courtney- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

Courtney is a friend of a friend...you Rhode Islanders know how that goes. She wanted some pictures that showed her fun, sassy side. Court lives in a gorgeous apartment so she suggested we do pictures at her place and I'm so happy we did. She rocked every outfit she wore and we had so much fun. Maybe this can be a yearly thing? :)

Natalie and Ryan- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

So, where to begin on the history of knowing my dear friend "Ame-ski-doo-ski" (or Amy as normal people call her). Well, we grew up next door to one another and, with the help of her brother Rob, did all the stupid, fun and amazing things kids do like setting up a string can telephone system between our houses. Fast forward about twenty years and it's so great that I now get to see Amy and her beautiful children. Congratulations to Amy and Ken on welcoming Ryan into their family! I have a feeling Natalie is going to enjoy being a big sister and whooooooooooole lot.

Flashback Friday

So, I've been reading a lot about photography...as in, it is possible I've read more in the past month than I've slept, ha ha! One thing I have read is that the problem with blogs and websites is that you only get to see a certain amount of photos, not the, literally, 108,000 other photos stored on a hard drive...this means there are lots of beautiful shots of people that go unseen. So I've decided to do Flashback Friday. I'm going to take a photo I've taken in the past few years and repost it. It will serve as a reminder of all the awesome, fun people (and puppies) I get to hang out with! Here's week 1!
